Outstanding student projects were recognized during the recent Penn State Harrisburg School of Science, Engineering, and Technology Capstone Design Conference. The virtual conference was the culmination of students’ undergraduate studies and provided the opportunity to combine classroom learning with real-life applications and collaborate with industry sponsors.

One-quarter of Pennsylvanians may not get the coronavirus vaccine, survey finds

A recent survey conducted by the Center for Survey Research at Penn State Harrisburg’s Institute of State and Regional Affairs has found that many Pennsylvanians are “vaccine hesitant” — indicating that they probably or definitely will not receive the coronavirus vaccine. Vaccine hesitancy varied by several key demographics, including race, age and region. Addressing these differences may be crucial for the next stage of the commonwealth’s vaccination effort.

With students learning in a variety of ways over the past year in response to the coronavirus pandemic, Commonwealth Campus Faculty Development recently held a series of webinars where a diverse panel of students from across Penn State's Commonwealth Campuses discussed their educational experiences during the pandemic.
