March 1 presentation focuses on the Ten Commandments

The depiction of the Ten Commandments in America lies at the heart of a presentation by acclaimed Jewish scholar and author Jenna Weissman Joselit Monday, March 1 at Penn State Harrisburg.

The Charles E. Smith Chair in Judaic Studies at George Washington University, Joselit’s 6:15 p.m. presentation is free and open to the public in the Olmsted Building Auditorium. 38th annual Model U.N. on campus Feb. 18 and 19

For the 38th consecutive year, regional high school students will debate today’s pressing global issues when they gather at Penn State Harrisburg for the annual Model United Nations, Feb. 18 and 19.

An estimated 300 student delegates from 20 schools will represent 95 member nations of the U.N. in debate topics ranging from nuclear proliferation to human trafficking during the two days of sessions.

Two Penn State Harrisburg students are breaking in their dancing shoes and catching up on their sleep as they prepare to head for University Park to represent the college in the 38th annual IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon to raise funds in the fight against pediatric cancer.

Presenter to discuss risk management and ethics

One of the nation’s leading authorities on risk management, Carl Pritchard, will discuss the connection between risk and risk ethics in business when the Keystone Chapter of the Project Management Institute meets Wednesday, Feb. 10 at Penn State Harrisburg.

Shaun Gabbidon named distinguished professor

Penn State Harrisburg criminal justice faculty member Shaun L. Gabbidon has become the second scholar in the college’s history to be named a Distinguished Professor by the University’s Office of the President.
