Penn State Harrisburg has launched a $3M renovation of the former Childcare Building, transforming the 6,300-square-foot space into the new Applied Behavioral Analysis Laboratory.
Project Highlights
Building Upgrades:
- Full interior demolition
- New windows and entrance doors
- New HVAC systems, lighting, and electrical service
- Fire alarm installation
Clinical and Program Spaces:
- New clinical areas dedicated to Applied Behavioral Analysis
- Separate clinic space for the Communication Science Disorders program
Accessibility and Site Enhancements:
- ADA compliance improvements
- Upgraded parking lot and site features
Community Impact and Partnerships
Gym-Jam Therapeutics, LLC will operate the clinic, providing clinical hours and research opportunities for students and faculty.
Anticipated Completion: Fall 2025
This new public-facing clinic will provide valuable clinical hours and research opportunities for Penn State Harrisburg students and faculty, and is also slated to include a separate, smaller clinical area serving the Communication Science and Disorders program.
