The Penn State Harrisburg Elementary Education major is a full-time, face-to-face program with students beginning during the fall semester. This means that to complete the degree during the junior and senior years (or the equivalent two years), students must attend classes on campus and complete an elementary/middle school field experience four days a week and at least one evening course per week each semester. We are proud to offer a Residency Program where students co-teach with an expert mentor teacher for a full academic year.
This program is recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE).
