The post-baccalaureate certification program in Secondary Education General Science is designed for individuals who:
• possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution, and
• want to teach General Science (7-12) in Pennsylvania.
Students who successfully complete the program requirements will be recommended for certification as a Secondary General Science Instructional I teacher.
The program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE).
An M.Ed. degree in Teaching and Curriculum may be attained after certification coursework has been completed. Students may apply 12 credits of their certification courses toward the Master of Education degree in Teaching and Curriculum.
