Penn State Harrisburg is inviting the college community to travel the world during “World Fest,” an all-day event beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2.
Hunger is a real problem for today’s students, including those at Penn State Harrisburg. The college’s commitment to providing a supportive environment for its students has gone one step further with the opening of the WE cARE food pantry in August.
To help address the needs of a growing residential student population at Penn State Harrisburg, the Penn State Board of Trustees today (Sept. 14) approved the purchase of the Nittany Village apartment complex situated next to campus, as well as a parcel of land adjacent to the campus that is currently being used by the college as athletic fields.

Penn State Harrisburg managing chef and culinary support specialist Athan Spanos has won the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference Culinary Challenge and earned a Gold American Culinary Federation (ACF) medal.

Penn State Harrisburg will hold its 2018 spring commencement at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5. Approximately 780 degrees are expected to be conferred at the ceremony. Madlyn L. Hanes, vice president for Commonwealth Campuses and executive chancellor at Penn State, will deliver the keynote address at the ceremony.
