Ten students in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Business Administration were recently inducted into Mu Kappa Tau, a national honor society that recognizes top students majoring in marketing.
John Affleck, Knight Chair in Sports Journalism and Society in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications; Jeremy Blum, associate professor of computer science at Penn State Harrisburg; and Cheryl L. Nicholas, associate professor of communication arts and sciences at Penn State Berks, have received Penn State's Alumni/Student Award for Excellence in Teaching and have been named 2019 Penn State Teaching Fellows.
Kristen Marie Clemons, a graduate student in the applied clinical psychology program, received first place in Penn State Harrisburg's Three Minute Thesis competition for “Post-traumatic growth, rumination, and biological sex.”
The VanGo! Museum on Wheels will be at Penn State Harrisburg from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at the Olmsted Building parking lot. The event is sponsored by the college’s School of Humanities.
For the first time, Penn State Harrisburg participated in the Three Minute Thesis competition, which celebrates research conducted by graduate students. More than 200 universities participate in the annual competition, which was developed by the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, to cultivate students’ academic, presentation and research communication skills.
