The Penn State Harrisburg Nittany Lions men’s basketball team battled in a close North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship game Sunday, Feb. 27, losing in overtime to Wells College, 72-75, to end the season.

For the second consecutive season, Keuka College dashed the Penn State Harrisburg Lady Lions basketball team’s chances of a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) championship. The Keuka Storm defeated the Lions 71-59 Feb. 26 in the NEAC semi-finals.
Penn State Harrisburg will host the 2011 NEAC Men's Basketball Championship Friday, Feb. 25 through Sunday, Feb. 27.
On Saturday, Feb. 26 at 4:00 p.m., the number-one seeded Lions will play the winner of the Gallaudet University and Morrisville State game, with the Saturday winner advancing to the championship game on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 1:00 p.m. Penn State Harrisburg sealed the top spot and the opportunity to host the tournament after a win against Keuka College Feb. 20.
Dr. Lance D. Watson, senior pastor of Saint Paul’s Baptist Church of Richmond, Va., and chief visionary for its corporate affiliates, will visit Penn State Harrisburg March 1 to speak as part of the 2011 Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Lecture Series. He will address the series topic, “A Sociocultural Awakening: Rise Up!” at 12:30 p.m. in the Morrison Gallery, Library and at 6:30 p.m. in the Capital Union Building.
Veteran “Washington Post” foreign correspondent Pamela Constable will discuss her experiences as a journalist in war-zone countries March 1 at Penn State Harrisburg.
