* Sphero Indi Classroom Set Pick Up Day: November 3, 2021 from 4:00-7:00pm
** Virtual Workshop: November 8th and 15th, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm

Who is Eligible?: Full time grades PreK-2 educators who teach or oversee STEM/STEAM activities in a public Pennsylvania school district (teachers working with large populations of female and underrepresented students are strongly encouraged to apply)
Applicants selected for the program will receive a classroom set of Sphero Indi robots (a $1,200 value), access standards aligned curriculum, 4 hours of online professional development on how to utilize the Sphero Indi to teach various STEM concepts, and personalized support from Sphero for up to one year.
Eligible for 4 Act 48 Continuing Professional Education hours.

Note: Limited to 30 schools, one kit per school building. Please contact [email protected] to request multiple workshop seats per school building. Selection dependent upon meeting the eligibility criteria above and the order of survey submissions.
*If you are unable to attend the pick up day you may indicate who will be picking up your kit, or arrange alternative plans with CAIMS to obtain your kit. For safety reasons this will be a drive by pick up at Penn State Harrisburg where staff will be wearing PPE/sanitizing materials and you will not need to get out of your vehicle.
**Selected participants must attend both virtual workshops on November 8th and 15th.

Teaching Mathematical Modeling through 3D Printing

Location: Lancaster Lebanon IU13 Intermediate Conference Center
Intended Audience: Limited to 12 school districts from Lancaster County. Recommended attendance as a school team consisting of 1 middle school math and 1 middle school T&E or STEM teacher.
What Will Schools Receive?: A 3D printer, class set of math cubes, standards-based instructional resources, and 6 Act 48 Continuing Professional Education hours.
