For its 13th Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration at Penn State Harrisburg, PenOwl Productions presents The Dinner Guest, a new twist on the classic play Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, rescheduled due to inclement weather for Monday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Capital Union Building Student Center.  The event is free and open to the public.

The play reverses the ethnic roles and asks the audience to consider how a white man might be viewed by the black family of the woman he is dating.

“We are pleased to once again partner with Penn State,” said Dr. Robert Scott, board chair of PenOwl Productions.  “We seek to continue the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King by producing theater which unites people over racial issues.”

The Dinner Guest was written by Dr. Dorothy E. King, founder and director of PenOwl and assistant professor of sociology at Penn State Harrisburg.  The play features Aaron Bomar, Jack Eilber, Ebony Harmon, Tatum Mosley, Monika Ross, Leonard Washington, and Joanna Williams and is directed by Ronda Peters.
