The Human Capital Management (HCM) degree program will educate students in the fundamental concepts and state-of-the art skills required by human resource professionals, including:
- onboarding
- training and compensating employees
- developing and managing performance systems
- addressing and resolving employee concerns and issues
Students graduating with a degree in HCM will be positioned for successful careers in industry, government, and education, helping to ensure that our world of increasingly complex business remains aligned with human aspirations, business requirements and limitations, as well as the ethical treatment of employees.
The program will also prepare students to obtain national certification as a human resource professional such as the Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
