The Penn State Harrisburg master of business administration program leads to a globally-recognized degree that prepares emerging and experienced professionals for leadership in private, public, and non-profit organizations. The curriculum covers three main areas: the foundations of business; core principles for business leadership; and electives to enhance specialization skills. The foundation of the program addresses topics such as data analysis; managerial, economic and marketing principles; operations and supply chain management; and financial analysis. The core courses focus on an expansion of the foundation, and develop concepts related to emerging technologies; data analytics; managerial accounting and finance. A comprehensive, integrated capstone course focused on strategic management encapsulates the program as the culminating experience.
To develop agile, innovative and ethical leaders, a diverse offering of electives complements the foundation and core of the program. These electives are taught by highly qualified faculty who understand and appreciate the changing demands of global businesses. Electives are available in different tracks/concentrations, including: accounting; data analytics; finance; supply chain management; leadership and innovation; or general business. Students also have the flexibility of tailoring their experience by including elective courses from other schools and colleges in the University.
