Application Process

  • If you haven't already done so, review the supporting materials your program requires, as listed under Program Requirements for Admission. Note that you may apply to only one graduate program and one campus at a time.

  • Review this page fully, as well as the Fox Graduate School's Requirements for Graduate Admission before completing your online application.
  • The application fee can be paid online and most documents can be uploaded via the application. If you need to mail in your fee or any supporting documents, they should be sent to:

Application Notes

  • You must submit a copy of an official transcript from each college or university you attended (with the exception of Penn State University, which we already have). If you are offered admission and accept, you will be required to have official transcripts sent from each of these institutions.
     
  • Educational certification and endorsement applicants:
    • In the online application, select "Harrisburg" as the Campus
    • Select "Teaching and Curriculum" as the Major.
    • Then select "Pennsylvania Educators Level I Certification" from the Degree dropdown.
    • Finally, indicate the type of certification or endorsement (English, social studies, reading specialist, etc. ) in the Special Notes box.

Penn State is proud to offer military veterans, reservists and active duty service members a discounted application fee to the Graduate School. The discounted rate of $40 —a significant savings from the standard $65 fee — will be automatically applied in the application process.

Application Deadlines

  • Deadlines vary by graduate program and are listed with each degree's Program Requirements for Admission.
  • In general, applications should be submitted as early as possible.
  • International applicants must submit materials at least four months before the beginning of the semester for which they are applying.
