During previous Disability Awareness Weeks on campus, the Student Disability Resource Office organized a diverse range of events aimed at promoting inclusivity and raising awareness within the campus community. These events featured interactive tables, allowing students, faculty, and staff to engage with the challenges, rights, and needs of individuals with disabilities through hands-on simulations, while also learning about academic programs that prepare students for careers in the field. Faculty and staff participated in targeted training sessions designed to deepen their understanding of disability-related issues and enhance the accessibility of the campus environment. A Student Voice Panel provided a platform for students with disabilities to share their personal experiences, fostering meaningful dialogue and understanding. Other events such as Accessible yoga and a guided walk through Vartan Plaza, organized in collaboration with Counseling and Psychological Services and PAWS Ambassadors, offered participants the opportunity to engage with sensory stations focused on self-regulation and mindfulness, alongside a visit with Susquehanna Service Dogs and their handlers. These events collectively contributed to building a more inclusive and accessible campus community
