At Penn State Harrisburg, we are committed to providing a welcoming, encouraging, and empowering environment for students with disabilities to ensure equal access, full participation, and reasonable accommodations for their academic pursuits. SDR engages students in an interactive process to review requests for academic accommodations. The approved accommodations are designed to ensure access to course content and programming while mitigating disability-related functional limitations that may adversely impact a student’s ability to fully participate.
Testing Accommodations are a shared responsibility between SDR and the faculty. If a student is approved for extended time or use of the SDR exam center, they must formally request their accommodations via the online student portal 6 days prior to the exam. Once SDR receives this request, the faculty will receive an email from [email protected] containing the student’s request and a link to complete a Faculty Response form. Please complete this form as soon as it is received. If we do not receive the faculty information, it will be the faculty’s responsibility to provide the student with their testing accommodations as requested. Testing accommodations are for students registered with the SDR office only.
For additional information or specific test questions, please contact the SDR Testing Coordinator, via phone at 717-948-6025 or via email at [email protected]
