Testing Center Rules and Expectations

  • You must be a student registered with SDR to receive testing accommodations
  • To access your testing accommodations, you must submit a formal request through the SDR portal at least 6 days prior to the scheduled quiz, exam, or final. 
  • You must contact the testing coordinator immediately if:
    • There is a change to the request day/ time
    • You need to reschedule due to missing the scheduled quiz, exam, and/ or final.  
    • The instructor cancels the quiz, exam, or final
    • If you drop the course and no longer need the submitted testing accommodations.
  • Failure to follow the above expectations could result in your exam not being scheduled at the SDR exam center.

Frequently Asked Questions

Late requests must be made in person at SEC 205 during office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM). Late requests cannot be accepted on the same day, and all late requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the scheduled exam.

Yes, approved accommodations apply to all formal assessments, including midterms, finals, quizzes, and online exams.

Yes, accommodations apply to online exams as well: 

  • In-person: Submit a test request form if you want to take your online exam in the test center. 
  • Outside the test center: Coordinate directly with your instructor to ensure accommodations are applied to the online exam platform. No request form is needed.

If you encounter any issues (e.g., incorrect extended time, need to clarify exam instructions), speak with the Proctor on Duty. They can contact your professor or assist with the issue.

It’s recommended to review your syllabus early in the semester and submit test requests for all exams and quizzes you plan to take in the test center. Request must be made at least 6 days prior to each exam.

You will receive an Outlook calendar invite with the location and time of your exam. If you’re unable to make the scheduled time or have trouble locating the test center, please contact our office for assistance.
