The SDR office hosts a variety of events throughout the academic year that celebrate disability, promote inclusion, and foster a welcoming campus community. Our programs provide opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to learn, connect, and engage through interactive experiences, educational programming, and community partnerships.
Examples of past events include:
- Disability Awareness Week, featuring interactive displays, educational activities, faculty and staff workshops, and a Student Voice Panel where students with disabilities share their experiences.
- Neurodiversity Acceptance Celebration, highlighting neurodiversity through educational exhibits and student engagement.
- Mindfulness Walk at Vartan Plaza, presented in collaboration with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and PAWS Ambassadors, featuring sensory stations, mindfulness activities, and visits with Susquehanna Service Dogs.
- Resource and Information Tables, where students can learn about disability resources, accessibility, assistive technology, and academic programs related to disability and inclusion.
We invite you to explore the photos below to see highlights from these events and learn more about how SDR is building a more inclusive and accessible campus for everyone.
