Courses Overview

Be sure to refer to the Suggested Academic Plan and consult with your adviser regarding the proper sequence of courses.

The Enterprise Technology Integration (ETI) major combines foundational coursework in information technology, application development and business with specialized courses in systems integration. The major includes courses on introductory programming, databases, networks, organizational theory, project management and enterprise integration. ETI courses are designed to develop in-depth knowledge and technical skills in areas such as cloud computing, data exchange, process modeling and reengineering, and distributed computing environments, as well as business concepts and interpersonal skills such as working on teams.

The Development and Documentation of Enterprise Web (ETI 300W) provides students with the knowledge and skills to understand how cloud-based infrastructure solutions are developed to impact business-driven IT systems. IT Project Management (IST 302) furnishes students with the industry standard in project management skills, tools, and techniques of the Project Management Institute. Database Management and Administration (ETI 461) develops advanced database skills to be better able to analyze and respond to the needs of users. Enterprise Analytics (ETI 435) develops advanced data analysis skills to be able to assess and respond to organizational challenges by applying analytics technology to improved organization performance.

Graduates of this program will be able to understand the business-driven IT needs of organizations, to use various information technologies to develop, integrate, and evaluate IT solutions, and to help organizations adapt their business processes to improve customer satisfaction, performance, and competitiveness.
