Enterprise Technology Integration (ETI) is an interdisciplinary major, combining foundational coursework in business, statistics, information technology, and application development with specialized courses in cloud computing, data analytics, and database technology.
The ETI major brings together three related knowledge domains:
- organizational and application analysis
- data and database analytics
- cloud computing integration
The major will provide students with foundation courses in application development, databases, networking, and business concepts. In the student’s final two years, the focus shifts from foundations courses to advanced IT skills including but not limited to the study of technology centered around advanced database techniques, project management and analysis skills, data analytics and cloud computing. The capstone course will require the students to integrate their skills in analysis, database design and development and cloud computing, to a real-world project.
In addition, students will select an Application Focus area of study which will provide an interdisciplinary education to complement the major. Areas include:
- Application Development
- Cybersecurity
- ROTC
- Intelligence and Cyberwarfare
- Health Informatics
Students will complete 12.0 credits of study from one Application Focus area with at least one course being at the 400-level. The expectation is that students will progress from introductory courses to more advanced topics within the Application Focus area.
