Graduation Fair March 24

Penn State Harrisburg will hold a Graduation Fair on Tuesday, March 24 from noon – 5:30 p.m. in the Olmsted Building lobby on campus. Students graduating spring 2015 are invited to stop by and learn more about the commencement ceremony.

Academic Perspectives panel discuss “Je suis Charlie?”

Penn State Harrisburg will present an Academic Perspective on Currents Events panel titled “Je suis Charlie? Criminology, Political Science and Homeland Security Perspectives on Countering Violent Extremism” on Wednesday, March 4 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Olmsted Building Gallery Lounge on campus.

Aggravated assault reported on campus; suspect in custody

In compliance with the “Timely Notice” provision of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Police and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998, the University Police are giving notice of a disturbing act of violence reported to have occurred at the Olmsted Building on the Penn State Harrisburg campus.

Penn State Harrisburg’s Road to THON 2015

Every year, Penn State Harrisburg students join more than 15,000 other Penn State students to participate in The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, the world’s largest student-run philanthropy. THON benefits the Four Diamonds Fund, which helps fund cancer care for children and their families at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In 2014, Penn State Harrisburg raised nearly $50,000 contributing to the overall total raised of $13.3 million.

Americans are generous, but skeptical. They give abundantly to charities – an estimated $218 billion in 2011 alone. But they are increasingly demanding transparency in the organizations they choose to support.

Students invited to meet the chancellor

Students will have an opportunity to meet with Chancellor Mukund Kulkarni on Thursday, February 26 during “Chancellor's Open Hours.” The event will be held from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Olmsted Building Atrium. Join Chancellor Kulkarni for an informal discussion and light refreshments.
