Our office ensures the development and on-time submission of complete, solicitation-compliant research proposals by Penn State Harrisburg faculty members. The following services are offered:
Pre-Award Administration
- Searching for specific funding opportunities for faculty
- Putting together a SIMS budget and IAF
- Drafting budget justification
- Acquiring front end proposal documents from collaborators such as facilities, equipment, and bio-sketches
- Obtaining cost-share approvals
- Reviewing proposal documents for compliance and completeness
- Creating tools/checklists/timelines for investigators to assist in project management
- JIT/Other Support Submission
- Compiling Subaward documentation
Request proposal assistance via the Proposal Intake Form
Post-Award Administration
- Helping set up administrative processes and procedures for new awards
- Providing training and guidance on reasonableness, allowability, and allocability of charges
- Assisting with the preparation of financial reports to PIs
- Coordinating, negotiating, and communicating with sponsors and sub-awardees
- Overseeing the closeout of completed awards
Compliance
- Tracking/monitoring protocols
- Tracking PubMed Central compliance with compliance reports in myNCBI
