Penn State Harrisburg and PNC have announced the second chapter of the PNC Thought Leaders Lecture Series, a special event where high-profile speakers from around the world will focus on topics that have a significant impact on the local region.
Jim Dinegar, president and CEO of the Greater Washington Board of Trade, will present the keynote speech for the event from 4 to 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, in the Student Enrichment Center theater on campus.
Alex Eckerd of Elizabethtown enjoys learning to kayak at the Penn State RecFest event on Saturday, April 1. Eckerd received treatment at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital after a July 2015 fall left him with a traumatic brain injury.
Students have the option for taking summer courses as easily as 1-2-3 -- one course, two weeks, three credits. Penn State Harrisburg will offer Maymester from May 8 through May 18, which allows students to concentrate on one subject over a two-week period and earn three credits.

“Enhancing Health” will be the topic of the last in a series of public forums focused on implementing the University’s long-range Strategic Plan. The forum will take place 1-2:30 p.m. April 7 in the Morrison Gallery in the library at Penn State Harrisburg. The forum included an overview of the implementation process for the Strategic Plan and outlined ideas and initiatives under consideration that relate to "Driving Digital Innovation."
Jon Landau, executive vice president of Twentieth Century Fox and producer of the two highest grossing movies of all-time, “Avatar” and “Titanic,” will visit Penn State Harrisburg as a part of the college’s Student Affairs’ Technology Series on Thursday, April 6 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Capital Union Building Student Center on campus.
