Prepare for the spring 2017 commencement ceremony

Graduating students, you’ve made it this far, now make sure you’re ready for commencement!

The Penn State Harrisburg spring 2017 ceremony will take place Saturday, May 6 at 9:30 a.m. at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Don’t forget to:

  • Register to reserve your seat at the ceremony before April 15.
  • For those who have pre-ordered your regalia, they will be available for pick up at the Penn State Harrisburg Bookstore on Tuesday, April 25.

The Giant Center doors will open at 8 a.m. on the day of commencement. Students and guests should enter through the building’s main doors. Student tickets are required for ceremony entry; however, seating for guests is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reserved seating sections are available for guests with limited mobility. View a map designating reserved seating.

Graduates should arrive, fully gowned, by 8 a.m. Students arriving after 8:30 a.m. are not guaranteed the opportunity to participate in the student processional and will not be seated with other students in their major. The student processional will begin at 9 a.m. and the ceremony will start promptly at 9:30 a.m.
