Shaun Gabbidon, distinguished professor of criminal justice in the Penn State Harrisburg School of Public Affairs, has been named a fellow of the American Society of Criminology in recognition of his outstanding contributions to enhancing intellectual diversity in the field of criminology.
Penn State's EnvironMentors program connects high school students from underserved districts with the University's world-class research facilities and faculty, providing opportunities for them to achieve bright futures. The program, now in its sixth year, is currently accepting applications for faculty, undergraduate and high school students for the 2023-24 cohort. Applications are due by Oct. 15.
Five Penn State graduate alumni will share their career experiences with graduate students and postdoctoral scholars during a livestreamed professional development conversation focused on pursuing careers in multiple sectors. The Oct. 5 event, hosted by the Graduate School, will include a fireside chat and a networking reception.
