'The Defamation Experience' coming to Penn State Harrisburg on Oct. 11

The Criminal Justice Club and the Diversity and Educational Equity Committee at Penn State Harrisburg will host "The Defamation Experience” from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 11 in the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre in the Student Enrichment Center on campus. The program features a riveting courtroom drama that explores the issues of race, class, religion, gender and the law with a twist: The audience is the jury.

Penn State Harrisburg recognizes alumni achievement

Penn State Harrisburg recently presented Alumni Achievement Awards to one graduate of each of the five academic schools who demonstrates outstanding professional accomplishment. The awards were presented during a ceremony on campus on Sept. 21. Awardees included Stephen Guillard, Judy Hricak, William Pugh, Jay Spector and Susan Steele.

Dr. Joshua Kesterson to present major milestones in the study of cervical cancer

As part of this year’s Penn State Harrisburg Reads campaign lecture series, centered around Rebecca Skloot’s groundbreaking book, "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks," the campus will welcome Dr. Joshua Kesterson to present a timeline of cervical cancer’s history from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, in the library Morrison Gallery on campus.
