Thirty-six deputy sheriffs will graduate Sept. 8 from Pennsylvania’s Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff Education and Training Program. Penn State JASI administers the state’s lone academy, which all sheriffs and deputy sheriffs from Pennsylvania’s 67 counties must complete before beginning active duty.

The Central Pennsylvania Mathematics Content and Coaching Project at Penn State Harrisburg, made possible by a $1.36 million Pennsylvania Department of Education grant, is helping elementary, middle school and high school teachers improve their mathematics teaching skills in today’s classrooms.
