Students in the Perspectives on Aging class at Penn State Harrisburg were tasked with researching topics that would be useful to the aging population, and presenting them in an entertaining way.
On Feb. 3, all students, faculty and staff members at every Penn State campus location will receive an email to take the Penn State Community Survey to share their attitudes and experiences of community, diversity and inclusion at Penn State. Every 100 survey takers will have a chance to win an Amazon or Starbucks gift card.
A recent production of the Greek tragedy “Oedipus Rex,” performed by the Penn State Harrisburg Capital Players Theatre Club, incorporated technologically forward staging and design elements different than anything seen before from Penn State Harrisburg students.
Penn State Harrisburg recently presented Alumni Achievement Awards to one graduate of each of the five academic schools who demonstrates outstanding professional accomplishment. The awards were presented during a ceremony on campus in September 2019.

Oedipus Rex has been performed since 429 BC, and one of the challenges identified by the crew was making a text that seems “other worldly at times” take on a fresh, modern atmosphere while remaining true to its ancient Greek traditions.
