Danang Endrayana Syeh Qodir received his master’s of public administration from the Penn State Harrisburg School of Public Affairs at the college’s fall 2016 commencement on Saturday, December 17. Qodir, who traveled from Indonesia to study at Penn State Harrisburg, said that completing his studies as an international student came with challenges and rewards.
Roshan Khadka, who received a bachelor’s of science degree in psychology from the Penn State Harrisburg School of Behavioral Sciences and Education during the college’s fall 2016 commencement, has a story unlike many of his fellow graduates. Khadka is a refugee from Bhutan who came to the U.S.
Marc Anthony Merino Jr. was one of more than 250 students to receive his degree at Penn State Harrisburg’s fall 2016 commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 17. He received a bachelor of science in criminal justice from the School of Public Affairs, with a minor in psychological science. It was a moment of triumph for Merino; it was also a moment that almost didn’t happen.
Amanda Blaugher, assistant director of residence life at Penn State Harrisburg, and Krystal Huber, a resident assistant at the college, recently were awarded Certificates of Advocacy by Margaret Wilson, the acting director of the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
As part of the college’s community outreach efforts, Dr. Michael Chorney, professor of microbiology and chair of the biology and science programs at Penn State Harrisburg, partnered with the Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) recently to give a Bite of Science presentation on how to better prepare middle and high school students for high education programs in the sciences.
