On Sunday, May 8, Penn State Harrisburg held its 2016 spring commencement at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. More than 680 degrees were conferred at the ceremony.

Penn State Harrisburg now offers an option for bachelor’s of science candidates in civil engineering to enroll in an integrated, continuous program of study leading to both the bachelor’s, as well as a master’s of engineering in environmental engineering.

Flexible options include on campus and online courses, some courses at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center and programs for educators. The first summer session runs May 16 to June 27; the second session runs June 29 to August 12.

Proposals submitted — 16 proposals were submitted to 12 different sponsor agencies by 11 faculty and staff members totaling $6,235,555.00.
Proposals awarded — 10 projects were funded from seven different funding agencies involving seven different faculty and staff members totaling $1,044,552.00.
