Campus community steps up to help struggling students

Sometimes, students run out of options when faced with an emergency. This was never more apparent than on and after April 3, 2016, when a devastating fire occurred at the Village of Pineford apartments in Middletown, a home to many of Penn State Harrisburg’s students. Immediately following the fire, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members asked how they could help students who lost everything.

Grant activity -- April - July 2016

Proposals submitted: 23 proposals were submitted to 22 different sponsor agencies by 21 faculty and staff members totaling $3,788,439.

Proposals awarded: 9 projects were funded from nine different funding agencies involving 6 different faculty and staff members totaling $749,986.

New students, those in University housing must submit immunization records

Students who are new to Penn State and all students living in University housing are reminded that they must submit their immunization records using myUHS through a new three-step process. As part of this process, students who do not submit their immunization records prior to Sept. 15 will be unable to register for spring 2017 classes.
