Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day April 24

Registration deadline is Thursday, April 17 for the annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day program at Penn State Harrisburg.

The day-long event funded by the Chancellor’s Office and the Student Activity Fee Fund, will be Thursday, April 24.

Students inducted into business honor society

Twenty-six undergraduate and graduate students in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Business Administration have achieved excellence in their studies and have been inducted as lifetime members of Beta Gamma Sigma.

$100,000 gift endows scholarship in memory of Morris Schwab

Current and future undergraduate students at Penn State Harrisburg will benefit from a $100,000 gift to endow the Morrie Schwab/Phi Sigma Delta Sigma Educational Foundation Trustee Scholarship.

The family of the late Mr. Schwab, a well-known Harrisburg business leader, and the foundation joined together to create the gift.

Faculty member offers testimony at Senate hearing

Penn State Harrisburg Professor of Psychology Richard Foxx was the lone academic expert to offer testimony during a public hearing April 1 before the Pennsylvania Senate Banking and Insurance Committee on a bill to require private insurers to provide coverage for autism spectrum disorders up to $36,000 per year.
