Ready for a new career in a growing field?

Do you have a bachelor’s degree and an interest in speech-language pathology or audiology? Take the next step at Penn State Harrisburg!

To be eligible for graduate school in these fields, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) requires specific courses in Physical Sciences (Chemistry or Physics), Behavioral or Social Sciences, Biology, and Statistics. Additionally, many graduate programs require foundational courses, including the following Penn State offerings:

  • CSD 146 – Intro to Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • CSD 230 – Intro to Audiology
  • CSD 297 – Clinical Observation
  • CSD 300 – Language Development
  • CSD 311 – Clinical Phonetics
  • CSD 331 – Anatomy & Physiology for Speech and Hearing
  • CSD 341 – Acoustics
  • CSD 433 – Aural Rehabilitation
  • CSD 442 – Articulation & Phonology
  • CSD 459W – Principles of Clinical Management
