Capstone projects highlight student innovation

More than 200 students in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Science, Engineering, and Technology had the opportunity to demonstrate some 65 projects at the annual Capstone Design Conference, held on May 5 on campus. The projects included a race car, a rocket, a reverse vending machine, HVAC improvements to classrooms, a prosthetic arm, a virtual reality game, and -- more unusually -- a self-balancing unicycle.

Penn State announces spring 2017 commencement events and speakers

This spring Penn State expects to award 13,894 diplomas to students University-wide who are completing 226 associate, 11,435 baccalaureate, 1,590 master’s, 262 law, 244 doctoral and 137 medical degrees. Penn State Harrisburg to hold pre-election panel discussion

Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Public Affairs will host a pre-election panel from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 27 in the Olmsted Building's Gallery Lounge on campus. The panelists will discuss topics related to immigration, leadership capacity, minimum wage and racial issues within policing. The discussion will be moderated by Anne Douds, lecturer in criminal justice.

New students, those in University housing must submit immunization records

Students who are new to Penn State and all students living in University housing are reminded that they must submit their immunization records using myUHS through a new three-step process. As part of this process, students who do not submit their immunization records prior to Sept. 15 will be unable to register for spring 2017 classes.
