Penn State Harrisburg hosts second annual scavenger race

Penn State Harrisburg’s Counseling and Psychological Services has partnered with the college’s Student Disability Resources for the second time to host the annual scavenger race – an event that is part race and part mobile scavenger. The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:25 p.m. on Thursday, October 25 in the Library’s Morrison Gallery.

On race day, students will assemble into teams of one to four people and complete a variety of tasks using clues sent to their mobile devices. Tasks may include capturing QR codes at various locations; answering trivia quizzes about Penn State, wellness and facilities; and taking creative pictures that will be shared/streamed at the end of the race. This event will take participants all around campus in the quest to solve clues. The scavenger race is designed to promote student wellness, teamwork, and interaction, and facilitate knowledge about campus facilities, locations, and information in a creative and fun way.

This exciting, one-of-a-kind event is sponsored by SAF and only held once a year, so don’t miss the chance to participate! All you need is a mobile device to download the free Eventzee app and a student ID. To RSVP, visit Engage@Harrisburg.
