Graduate Scholarship Award

This scholarship recognizes and supports highly qualified first-year graduate students enrolled at Penn State Harrisburg. Both full and part-time students are eligible for consideration, with awards up to $3,000 per academic year, based on enrollment.  

There is no application for this award; all applicants who meet the criteria below will be considered after acceptance into their program. Awards are granted to qualified students based on review by the Scholarship Award Committee.

Eligibility Requirements

You may be considered if you are:

  • a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
  • enrolling in a residential graduate degree-seeking program (master's or doctoral)
  • a newly admitted student, enrolling in Fall 26 or later

The following are not eligible:

  • Penn State employees and their dependents
  • students already receiving other Penn State–funded scholarships, assistantships, or awards
  • students in an Integrated Undergraduate/Graduate Degree (IUG) program
  • students pursuing a post-baccalaureate or graduate certificate

Graduate Scholarship Award Amounts (per academic year)

  • Full-time (9+ credits): $3,000
  • Half-time (5–8 credits): $2,000
  • Less than half-time (<5 credits): $1,000

The scholarship may be awarded for up to four semesters, contingent upon continued enrollment and satisfactory academic progress and a GPA of 3.0 or above.
