The Discover Penn State Award
The Penn State Discover Award is offered annually to first-time, first-year domestic students who enroll at a Penn State campus other than Penn State University Park or Penn State World Campus for both the fall and spring semester immediately following their high school graduation. All admitted undergraduate first-year students that are U.S. Citizens or permanent residents, excluding residents of Pennsylvania, will be automatically reviewed for the Penn State Discover Award through May 1st of each calendar year.
The Penn State Discover Award is awarded annually to transfer students who have attempted a minimum of 18 credits after high-school and enroll in a degree program that can be completed at a Penn State campus other than Penn State University Park or Penn State World campus. All admitted undergraduate transfer students from Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia will be automatically reviewed for the Penn State Discover Award through June 1st of each calendar year.
The Penn State Discover Award cannot be combined with the Provost Award.
The Provost Award
The Penn State Provost Award is a four-year award offered annually to first-time, first-year students who enroll in a Baccalaureate degree at a Penn State campus other than Penn State World Campus. Consideration is given to Pennsylvania and non-Pennsylvania residents. Every student with an offer of admission to Penn State will be automatically reviewed for the Penn State Provost Award. It is recommended to submit a FAFSA, but it is not a requirement to be eligible for the award. Transfer students are not considered for the award.
The Provost Award cannot be combined with the Discover Penn State Award.
