Minors in Sociology and Psychology now available

New minors in Sociology and Psychology are now available to undergraduate students at Penn State Harrisburg.

The 18-credit minors were added this fall “due to continued student requests,” says Associate Professor of Sociology Kamini Grahame. “We already had established baccalaureate majors in the two disciplines, so it made sense to offer the minors.”

Filmmaker to lead discussion of his AIDS awareness movie

In observance of AIDS Awareness Month, Penn State Harrisburg is hosting a public presentation by filmmaker Brad Lowery and a showing of his acclaimed No One Will Ever Know on December 3.

Sen. Vance to deliver commencement keynote

State Senator Patricia H. Vance will deliver the keynote address when Penn State Harrisburg confers more than 500 undergraduate and graduate degrees during fall commencement ceremonies Saturday, December 19.

The ceremonies for students who have earned associate, bachelor’s master’s, and doctoral degrees will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Giant Center, Hershey.

Research, innovation partnerships profiled at 'EnerG' symposium

Penn State Harrisburg recently hosted a “Research Symposium on EnerG,” an overview of the Innovation Transfer Network effort pairing area business with regional faculty and students on energy-related initiatives aimed at accelerating commercialization.

The symposium brought together all parties involved for an update on the partnerships progress.
