South Central PA Robotics competition Nov. 15

Penn State Harrisburg and Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) will join with Carlisle Construction, Phoenix Contact, and Civil Air Patrol 306 to sponsor the fourth South Central PA Robotics Competition on Nov. 15 at 8:15 a.m. at Penn State Harrisburg in the Educational Activities Building.

Clark to discuss disability in early modern Spain

Dr. Gloria B. Clark, associate professor of humanities and Spanish in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Humanities, will present a discussion titled, “Juan Ruiz de Alarcón: Voicing Disability in Early Modern Spain” on Wednesday, November 12, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Olmsted Building Gallery Lounge on campus.

Grad Student Emilia Yang wins Top Student Paper at international convention

Emilia Yang, a communications graduate student and Nicaragua native currently living in Harrisburg, received the Top Student Paper award and Kappa Tau Alpha research award in the Communication and Technology division at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) 2014 annual convention in Montreal, Canada.

Penn State Harrisburg to welcome University laureate

Penn State Harrisburg will welcome Susan Russell, associate professor of theatre and Penn State laureate for 2014-15, on November 10 at 2 p.m. in the Olmsted Building Gallery Lounge. 

Russell will present a discussion titled “Dignity: Changing Comments into Contributions" and meet with students.
