This year’s Penn State Harrisburg Reads book is “Just Mercy” by Bryan Stevenson. In keeping with the book’s themes of justice and mercy, the program will host a panel discussion on Thursday, November 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Olmsted Gallery Lounge (W107) that will explore the long-term effects of parental incarceration on children.

Carolyn Griess, assistant teaching professor in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Behavioral Sciences and Education, wants more people to know what to do in youth mental health crises. She is teaching a one credit course titled "Youth Mental Health First Aid."
Youth Mental Health First Aid class teaches how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.
