Latin Dance classes return February 11

Last year’s Latin Dance classes at Penn State Harrisburg proved so popular with community residents that they are returning again.

The community is invited to join in the fun when the college 3 p.m. Sunday classes Feb. 11, 18, and 25 and Friday, March 2 at 7 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room of the Capital Union Building on campus.

Faculty members granted leaves of absence

Leaves of absence have been approved by the University for eight Penn State Harrisburg faculty members. Leaves of absence are granted for purposes of intensive study or research that will increase the quality of the individual’s future contribution to the University. The University has approved these leaves for 2007-08.

Penn State, The Lancaster Center Grand Opening Jan. 18

Penn State, The Lancaster Center is celebrating its grand opening Thursday, Jan. 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at its new location at 1383 Arcadia Road in the recently expanded Farm and Home Center. Visit the new facility and discover what Penn State has to offer in Lancaster. The public is invited to attend.

Doctoral Programs Information Night Feb. 7

Area residents can learn how to fit doctoral study at Penn State Harrisburg into a busy schedule at an Information Night Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m.

The session in the campus library will provide information on the D.Ed. in Adult Education and Ph.D. in Public Administration offered on the Penn State Harrisburg campus. Registration is not necessary.

African American Read-In comes to campus Feb. 5

The public is invited to participate in the 18th annual National African American Read-In when it comes to Penn State Harrisburg Monday, Feb. 5.

The event will be in the Oliver LaGrone Cultural Arts Center of Olmsted Building from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
