Shara McCallum, liberal arts professor of English in the College of the Liberal Arts and 2021-22 Penn State Laureate, will visit Penn State Harrisburg on Oct. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Madlyn Levine Hanes Library Morrison Gallery.

As part of ongoing efforts to address the challenges of racism, racial bias and community safety that persist in our nation, Penn State has announced the formation of a new Center for Racial Justice. The center, as part of the initiatives outlined by Penn State President Eric J. Barron in a letter earlier this year to the Penn State community, will advance the work of the Select Penn State Presidential Commission on Racism, Bias, and Community Safety and will be dedicated to research and scholarship around racism and racial bias.
Penn State Harrisburg will host the inaugural two-day research showcase, Thursday and Friday, Oct. 7 and 8, highlighting research accomplishments of Penn State Harrisburg faculty, staff and students.
The Mukund S. Kulkarni Cultural series at Penn State Harrisburg will celebrate its 5th year with the upcoming 2021-22 season. The series provides Penn State Harrisburg the opportunity to bring national and international performances to campus annually, allowing the community to experience a variety of different cultures through the arts.
