Penn State Harrisburg will hold its spring commencement on Sunday, May 10 at 9:30 a.m. at the Giant Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania. More than 785 degrees will be conferred at the ceremony.
James R. Hoehn, regional president of the Central Pennsylvania region for PNC Bank, will deliver the keynote address. As regional president, Hoehn is responsible for overseeing all business and management with an emphasis on the wealth management and corporate banking businesses.
Penn State Harrisburg will recognize the TE Connectivity Foundation for its donation of four state-of-the-art 3D printers to the college’s engineering labs totaling $25,000 at an event on May 1 at 11 a.m. on the second floor of the Educational Activities Building on campus.
Penn State Harrisburg graduate student, Tam Nguyen, of Vietnam is featured in the documentary film, "Red Over The Rainbow," detailing the rise of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) community in Vietnam. The film will have its U.S. premiere on Thursday, April 30 at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., at Penn State Harrisburg, in the Oliver LaGrone Cultural Arts Center - W132 Olmsted Building.

Rebecca Cecala, a doctoral candidate in the American studies program at Penn State Harrisburg is the college’s first student to receive the Penn State Harold K. Schilling Dean’s Graduate Scholarship for an outstanding student whose course of study is relevant to science, religion, and ethics.
