At Penn State Harrisburg, students have an extra resource to turn to for help with basic advising questions – their fellow peers. Lion Guide Peer Advisers are students trained to help their fellow students with a host of basic advising and advising technology questions – making advising services more accessible and ensuring they are better utilized.

Penn State Harrisburg softball player Madelyn Lehigh has been named the United East Female Senior Athlete of the Year. The highest individual honor the conference bestows, the award represents the epitome of the student-athlete model thanks to their high level of performance in their respective sport, in the classroom and in their community.

Harrisburg faculty member reaches children through speech and literacy program

Heidi Haas, assistant teaching professor of communication sciences and disorders at Penn State Harrisburg, works with children through a program called Speech Links to Literacy, an outreach effort she runs in partnership with Dauphin County Libraries. During the spring semester, two recent Penn State graduates who studied communication sciences and disorders gained hands-on experience in the field through the program.
