Penn State Harrisburg baseball player earns pair of All-America honors

MIDDLETOWN, Pa.  — Thanks to his performance in the spring, Penn State Harrisburg baseball player Blaine Waltimyer secured a pair of all-America honors from ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com. 

Waltimyer was named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-America Fourth Team, as well as the D3baseball.com All-America Fifth Team. He joins former standouts Bret Williams, Miguel Torres, Dallas Hite and Josh Berzonski as Penn State Harrisburg baseball players to earn all-America recognition of any kind. 

Waltimyer ranked third in the nation in doubles, sixth in the country in runs and 20th in Division III in total bases. The corner outfielder also ranks 23rd among Division III players with 74 hits, and his 57 RBIs rank 40th in the nation.  

The Pottstown, Pennsylvania, native also earned first-team all-region recognition from both ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com in May. Waltimyer was named to the United East All-Conference First Team after being selected to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week earlier in May.
