Reading Room and Gallery
The Reading Room and Gallery are non-reservable spaces. The Director of the Center collaborates with the Hanes Library’s Archivist and Humanities Reference Librarian and the Coordinator of Archives and Special Collections to maintain the Reading Room and Gallery spaces. Questions about the Reading Room and Gallery should be referred via email to the Director of the Center ([email protected]) or by calling 717-948-6199.
Conference Room
The Conference Room may be reserved in accordance with the policy below:
Requests to use the Conference Room are subject to administrative approval. Appropriate use of the space is limited to activities for small groups (8-10 people, maximum). Before making a request, users should consider that food and drink are not permitted and that the purpose of the space should be in keeping with the overarching ethos that the Center is intended to be an educational space serving as a “living memorial to the Holocaust.” Therefore, requests that are not in alignment with this intention will not be approved.
Examples of appropriate use include undergraduate and graduate courses that are related to Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Holocaust and humanitarian-related programming, or other small group meetings that engage with and support the Center’s educational purpose and objectives.
Scheduling the Conference Room
Staff in the Hanes Library manage requests for use of the Conference Room space using the 25Live room scheduling software. Questions about scheduling the space should be directed via email to the Library Services Manager ([email protected]) or by calling 717-948-6070.
