Kopil Acharya

Hello! My name is Kopil Acharya. I'm currently an undergraduate sophomore with a Biology major and intend to graduate in 2024. I have a dream of becoming a neurosurgeon, and in order to convert that dream into reality, I have been extremely academically oriented. I have been a straight A student, and have worked at PMC Novant Health. Furthermore, I have invested in numerous volunteering at nonprofit organizations that focus on conservation, environmental protection, and a senior home. Currently, I am working with the Biofuels Laboratory.

 
Ruba Agili-Shaban

Ruba Agili-Shaban

Ruba is an undergraduate student, set to graduate in Spring 2023. She is a Life Science major and in addition, minors in General Biology. Her goal is to enter the medical field. She has interests in both optometry and ophthalmology, along with general plant and animal biology.

 
Parya Akram

Parya Akram

Parya Akram is an undergraduate student at Penn State Harrisburg, expected to graduate in the spring of 2026. She is a part of Global ambassador and Lion ambassadors alongside other activities. She plans to pursue a career in medicine after completing her undergraduate studies.

Clara Baker

Clara Baker

Clara Baker is an undergraduate student at Penn State Harrisburg and will graduate in 2025. She is majoring in Biology and plans to go to medical school to become an
obstetrician-gynecologist or pediatrician. Before attending PSH, she was able to earn her Private Pilot’s License at the Duluth Flying Club in Minnesota. She intends to use her aviation skills along with her future medical training to work for non-profit organizations in underdeveloped countries and areas of natural disaster.

 
Logan Donald Cook

Logan Donald Cook

I am currently a Biology major in the class of 2025. After graduation I intend on continuing my education at the Penn State School of Medicine, to attain a degree my PhD in Biomedical Science with a focus on immunology. Once I complete my education I hope to go on to gain a career in research. 

 
Aayushi Patel

Aayushi Patel

Aayushi Patel is a Schreyer Scholar (Class of 2023) at Penn State Harrisburg majoring in Biology, Genetics and Development and double minoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Business Administration. At Penn State Harrisburg, Aayushi also serves as the President for the Health Science Club and the Entrepreneurship and Management Club as well as being a Global Ambassador among other activities. Outside of Penn State, she volunteers as a Patient Advocate Liaison at UPMC Harrisburg and as a Crisis Text Counselor for Crisis Text Line. She also serves as the Administrator for Researchers for Change. After graduating, she plans to attend medical school. Aayushi started her research at the Central Pennsylvania Research and Teaching Laboratory for Biofuels (CPRTLB) during her freshman year first semester. She also participated in the Multi-Campus Research Experience for Undergraduates (MC-REU) in Summer 2020 and was a recipient of the Erickson Discovery Grant in Summer 2021. She has presented at multiple conferences including the International Conference for Undergraduate Research (ICUR). She also has received the University Libraries John Sr. and Kimlyn Patishnock Undergraduate Research Award at the Penn State Harrisburg Research Poster Exhibition and the Peter T. Luckie Award for Outstanding Junior in STEM at the 2022 Undergraduate Exhibition. Aayushi has also been involved with multiple publications from CPRTLB including multiple reviews on which she was a first author. Aayushi’s research interests lie in medicine, herbal medicine and the interactions between plants and human health.

 
Krupa Patel

Krupa Patel

Krupa Patel is an undergraduate student at Penn State Harrisburg graduating in December 2022. She is majoring in Biology. After her graduation, she plans to continue her education to obtain a master's degree. Krupa plans to attend Physician Assistant School (PA-C). After completing her education, she hopes to work in the medical field.

 
Isabella Ramirez

Isabella Ramirez

Isabella is an undergraduate student set to graduate in the year 2026 with a bachelor's degree in pre-medicine. They plan to go medical school and enter the medical field. Their goal is to earn their doctorate in pathology to become a coroner. Isabella has an interest in plant science and agriculture in addition to their medical pursuits.

 

 
Maheen Iqbal

Maheen Iqbal Siddiqui

Maheen Iqbal Siddiqui is an undergraduate student. She is a part of the Capital College Honors Program set to graduate in Spring 2026 with an intended major of Biobehavioral Health. Her goal is to work in the medical field after completing her education. She has interests in dermatology, and research related to medicine. She has volunteered at a senior home, food banks, as well as community events.

 
Samantha Wellman

Samantha Wellman 

Samantha is currently an undergraduate completing her Biology degree, with a plan to graduate in 2023. In 2024 she plans to complete her Masters degree in Business Management with Penn State University. She has a passion for animals, and once obtaining her degrees, her goal is to work in conservation research.
