Program Requirements for Admission

Note: In addition to the general prerequisites for admission to the Fox Graduate School, the following is required by this degree program:

Requirements More Information
GPA Cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale) in the last 60 credits.
Education Applicants must have at least 18 credits in an area of study related to psychology, special education, general education, behavioral health, mental health, disability services, or related disciplines.
Supporting Materials
  • Three letters of recommendation with at least one being an academic/scholarly reference
  • An interest statement (Optional)
  • Scores from the Graduate Record Exam, GRE, in the verbal, quantitative, and analytic portions; GRE scores are not required for admission, but students who do not submit GRE scores will not be eligible for most graduate assistantships and/or scholarships.
  • A personal interview may be required
  • A resume or curriculum vitae (Optional)

Application Deadline

Program admission will remain open until all openings are filled.

For Fall semester, applicants are encouraged to submit completed applications by February 14th for early consideration and by April 14th for normal consideration.

Students are strongly encouraged to apply for Fall semester; however, Spring applications are considered under special circumstances. For Spring semester, applicants are encourage to submit completed applications by October 14th.
