Penn State Harrisburg to host South Central PA Robotics Competition November 14

Penn State Harrisburg will host the fourth annual South-Central PA Robotics Competition on November 14, starting at 8 a.m. in the Educational Activities Building on campus.

The event is designed to strengthen relationships between the region’s students and educators in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines and includes middle school, high school and college level students. 

Invent Penn State discussion to focus on entrepreneurship

Kevin Harter, professor of practice in entrepreneurship, and Dr. Susannah Gal, associate dean for research and outreach, will present “Invent Penn State: What is it and what does it mean for you? An introduction to campus resources that help you further develop your innovative ideas” on Wednesday, November 11 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Olmsted Building Gallery Lounge on campus.

Penn State Harrisburg named a 2016 Military Friendly® School by Victory Media

Penn State Harrisburg has been named a 2016 Military Friendly® School by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs® and Military Spouse.  This is the fifth consecutive year that the college has been named to the list.

The college was chosen based on Victory media’s criteria of key programs and policies, such as military support on campus, graduation and employment outcomes, and military spouse policies.

Penn State Harrisburg will close 1st Street on campus from November 18 through 27 for the installation of the gas main for the Student Enrichment Center project.

The road will be closed from O Street to the intersection of University Drive near the Science and Technology building.  Signage will be provided to detour traffic around the closed section of road.

Graduation Fair November 3

Penn State Harrisburg will hold a Graduation Fair on Tuesday, November 3 from noon to 6 p.m. in the Olmsted Building lobby on campus. Students graduating fall 2015 are invited to stop by and learn more about the commencement ceremony.
