Emily Sano, an applied clinical psychology graduate student from South Lake Tahoe, California, in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Behavioral Sciences and Education, received the Anastasi Graduate Student Research Award given by the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Division 52: International Psychology.
Traci Langworthy, an American studies doctoral student, received the 2015 Bertrand H. Bronson Student Paper Prize presented by the American Folklore Society for the best student project that combines research and analysis of some aspect of a music or song tradition.
She is the first recipient of the award from Penn State.
Penn State Harrisburg's Diversity and Educational Equity Committee recently hosted a panel discussion on “Race and the Media,” one of several discussions designed to “start conversations on topics related to race that may be difficult to start outside of a structured environment,” according to moderator Noah Roufos-Abbey, Associate Director of Development.
