MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Penn State Harrisburg’s women’s tennis, men’s tennis, and men’s outdoor track and field teams all captured United East Conference Championship titles over the weekend.

The women's tennis team defeated top-seeded St. Mary’s College of Maryland to capture the team’s second consecutive United East Conference Championship on Sunday, May 4, and earn an automatic berth in the upcoming NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championship Tournament.

Penn State Harrisburg's Breanna DeSantis was named the United East Championship Tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP).

In the first round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championship Tournament, Penn State Harrisburg will take on Swarthmore College on Friday, May 9, in Lexington, Virginia, at the campus of Washington and Lee University.

The men's tennis team secured its second-straight United East Conference Championship by sweeping St. Mary's College of Maryland on Sunday, May 4, clinching the program's third trip to the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship Tournament.

Derwin Merca was named the United East Championship Tournament MVP.

In the first round of the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship Tournament, the men’s tennis team will face North Central College on Friday, May 9, on the campus of Denison College.

The men’s track and field team captured its first-ever United East Conference Championship on Sunday.

Thrower Sean Myron was named the United East Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year for his efforts.

Men's and women's athletes combined to win 10 individual conference titles and secure 24 all-conference honors.
